Friday evening: user difficulties

We’ve been hearing reports that some users are having problems with OnRez tonight, and it appears that Second Life in general is having some troubles (teleports failing, SL search down, group info blank, and Linden$ balances failing to load) which could be impeding deliveries and vendors.  We will take a look at what is happening as soon as possible and try to fix anything if it is happening on our end.     My OnRez account has one void transaction and one STUCK at pending. Meaning I get no item and it still has lowered my balance. =(

    Nm. Sorry to double-post. After about 13 minutes, it’s marked the latest purchase as void. =) Thanks for putting this auto-refund system in place.

    VERY IMPORTANT! You should disable withdrawls right now! IT’S EATING MONEY! It counts against your balance, but never pays the avatar.

    Hi Vahn — there were severe problems with Second Life last night and you probably got caught in the delays and lag that ensued. All monetary transactions are logged both on our system and through a Second Life avatar history, so if the transfer never happened on Linden Lab’s end, we should see it missing in the SL transaction history. This will be a priority for Jade to review. Thanks for the warning.
